10330 Senior Risk Analyst Job

Location: MO-Saint Louis  
Lower Midwest (IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, MO, NE & OH)
Salary Range: 90,000 - 125,000
Total Compensation: 100,000 - 140,000
Job Description: The Senior Risk Specialist will be responsible for supporting overall exposure management and related quantitative analysis to monitor risk levels including day-to-day mark-to-market (MtM) valuation, Value-at-Risk (VaR) calculations, quantifying spread relationships, and performing stress tests and scenario analysis.
Education and Certifications/Licenses: Bachelors, None, None
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: • Strong leadership / management skills. • Graduate level degree in Mathematics, Financial Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Physics or similar quantitative degree • Working proficiency in Mat Lab, R , SQL (preferred) • 4+ years of experience in a commodity trading/merchant function (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications: • Excellent interpersonal skills and a comfort level in working effectively with people at various organizational levels with strong personalities in a high pressure, deadline driven environment. • Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate highly technical concepts effectively with senior management both in written reports and oral presentations. • Strong knowledge of the energy and FX markets and various commercial activities including trading, marketing, supply management and asset optimization. • Strong quantitative skills utilizing trading and risk management systems as well as spreadsheet and database programs. • Working knowledge of mathematics and statistics within the quantitative framework underlying valuation and risk measurement of physical and financial derivative instruments (including “at-risk” measures). • Understanding of option valuation techniques related to financial markets and/or energy markets. • Ability to determine and define micro and macro components/implications/issues of proposed transactions, policies, and procedures, and communicates findings in an accurate, decisive manner within the new product approval process. • Strong understanding of an effective control environment specifically including controls related to model development and end-user computing.
