Mid-Atlantic (DE, DC, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA & WV)
Salary Range: 65,000 - 80,000
Total Compensation: 80,000 - 100,000
Job Description: Leading both the internal and external sales effort in the branch through personal involvement in generating client contacts, identifying customer needs and proposing appropriate services and products. Over 60% of daily activities include external client business development. Target, develop, manage and sustain banking relationships with affluent clients. Responsibilities include providing exceptional personal service to the client including depository and retail banking services, credit and mortgage products, etc. Relationship management includes customer service, retention, proactive client contact and all aspects of service as financial advisor to the client. Cultivate relationships with external centers of influence, such as estate planning attorneys, tax-planning accountants, personal injury attorneys, etc. Developing and achieving annual sales plans for the office in concert with bank leadership. Maintaining excellent service levels by effectively allocating staff resources within the branch. Developing and achieving annual operating budgets and supporting business plans for the branch. Ensuring compliance with bank wide standard operating practices within the branch. Evaluating and coaching branch staff, preparing performance plans for staff and overseeing the development of performance plans. Exercising the usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations. The Private Banking/Branch Manager is expected to complete continuing education and professional development courses, leadership development and product and service training to ensure skills are maintained and strengthened.
Education and Certifications/Licenses: Bachelors, None, None
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: Previous sales experience in the Banking / Financial Services industry required. Previous affluent client and/or retail branch management experience preferred. Broad knowledge of the fundamental concepts of lending, deposit gathering, investing, estate planning and asset protection. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be extremely service-oriented and possess the ability to advise and consult with the client. Requires sound follow-through, problem-solving, prospecting and negotiation skills. Qualified candidates must have proven success in the following areas; demonstrating results, exceeding client expectations, adaptability, team player and strong relationship builder, reliability and highly motivated. Proven relationship management and sales skills and excellent client service skills. Experience using PC with a focus on Microsoft Office Applications. Requires a minimum of six years experience in the area of Private Banking. Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent work experience.
