LOCAL/AREA CANDIDATES ONLY This is an executive level position with our client. The position is responsible for the overall credit environment and culture of both the Bank and its clients.The CCO will manage both credit underwriting for all credit instruments and mange all portfolio administration. The role will create highest level of credit analysis for new loans, annual reviews, modification, and renewals. The position is also responsible for national governance of credit policy for all subscriber credit unions. The position is responsible managing all functions related to credit administration.In addition, this role is responsible for managing the credit integrity of the portfolio that the bank services. In portfolio management, the responsibilities include preparing deal proposals for discussion with senior management and reviewing all policies and procedures. On an on going basis, the Chief Credit Officer is responsible for monitoring credit and updating credit performance, completing all credit reviews and monitoring all delinquency. In managing the portfolio, this role is to work closely with National Sales Department, Commercial Relationship Managers, and borrowers to ensure all loan covenants are met and clear communication is maintained between the bank and it’s partners1. At minimum 15 years of experience as a Credit Administrator/Credit Officer/Portfolio Manager in a financial environment required.2. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics and Commercial Credit Training programs. Master’s degree preferred.3. In-depth knowledge of: Commercial Real Estate, SBA Lending, Standard term loans and lines of credit, and Credit Policy/Credit Compliance.4. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards applicable to commercial lending and commercial real estate. Knowledge of real estate lending relating to owner-occupied commercial property, commercial industrial, construction, retail, and office5. Superior credit analysis skills.6. Understanding of portfolio management as it pertains to commercial industry and secondary market.7. Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills8. Must be proficient in financial analysis, spreading historical financial information as well as due diligence search engines.9. Proficient using Loan Manager and Form Works software.10. Excellent math skills, with emphasis in accuracy and precision.11. Ability to develop strategies to manage problem commercial loans. 12. Demonstrated ability to operate a computer with Windows-based programs (Windows 95/98, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook) and knowledge of credit analysis and portfolio management software13. Possess excellent management skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of management and staff required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization and diverse personalities required. Strong customer service orientation.14. Must have proven ability to hire, train, and motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth – a Leader, passionate about coaching personnel.15. Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities, demanding deadlines and sudden changes in workflow. |
