POSITION SUMMARY – Internal Control Unit (ICU)/ Audit:
Individual is responsible for developing and managing a plan to ensure that the control environment at the Branch is managed and monitored to effectively mitigate business risk exposure. ICU will submit the plan to Head Office for seeking approval on an annual basis and thereafter implement the plan. ICU will conduct reviews according to the approved plan. ICU will discuss the reviews / findings with the concerned Unit Heads before submitting a final report. All reviews – monthly, quarterly and annual are addressed to the Unit Heads and copied to Country Manager and to Head Office.
ICU Head is primarily responsible for evaluating controls over transaction processing, maintaining accurate information, safeguarding of assets, and the integrity of controls, Review H-O reporting, regulatory reporting, and inquiries. Individual will assist with the designing and improving of processes to ensure that appropriate controls exist to manage risk effectively. Handle Reconciliation of all Nostro accounts. He is also designated as the Information Security Officer. ICU Head is also Security Coordinator for TI and Equation applications.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Review daily reports of Equation (Processing System) including GL, P&L, Special Conditions Report, Deals Report and all other reports generated by Equation for previous day’s work.
• Inform concerned Units if any discrepancy is found in the GL and/or other Reports and follow up on the same until it is resolved.
• Reconcile all Nostro Accounts and send reports to all concerned Units to respond O/S entries.
• Review previous days IT Tasks List.
• Review Audit Log Viewer of STPayments’ (another Processing System) application to monitor user access.
• Random review of previous day’s transactions processing through STPayment’s investigator to ensure accuracy and Compliance to OFAC and to ensure other controls.
• Review all Home Remittance Application forms of walk-in and mail customers that were processed in STPayment on the previous day to ensure proper controls are being practiced by the processing Unit and Compliance
• Review all LCs advised on the previous day to ensure compliance to OFAC, Anti-Boycott and to check proper controls are being practiced by the processing Unit
• Conduct periodic reviews as per HOK approved ICU Plan. Discuss findings with the Unit Head and subsequently submit reports of such reviews to the Unit Head with copies to Country Manager and HOK.
• Coordinate with HO Auditors and/or Federal and State Examiners during any ongoing audit/examination.
• Review all previous day’s batches with the Equation’s Input Summary and after review bundle up the batches for record keeping under the custody of Customer Services Unit.
• Review incoming checks in clearing.
• Handle any assignment as and when designated by Country Manager.

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
-5-10 years experience in audit/internal control or similar function
-Experience/understanding of correspondent banking and correspondent payment processing
-Exposure to Nostro
-Familiarity with regulatory requirements as they relate to the OCC, NYSBD, and FRB
-Skilled with working on P&L, GL, and related accounting processes |
